Elements of Rehearsal in the Bleak Midwinter

A 15 minutes minimalist summa of theatre art: threshold, space, voice, body, craziness, and crisis. In the bleak midwinter, a young group of Estonian non-professional actors explores the constituent elements of theatre and life.

Director Statement

I have been inspired by Goffmann's essay "The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life" and Kenneth Branagh's comedy "In the Bleak Midwinter". The movie tries to explore the dual nature of life and theatre art.
