Let's face it, everyone has gone through a love that seemed to be unique, infinite and discovered that it was just another banal passion. There is similar love in other plans, it is nothing too much, it has happened many times with others of us. “egoistic” is a project that passed through the hands of several women and each, in the complexity of her being, put her experience and ideas in this videoclipe. The beat is a production by M. Boaretto and the composition is by the singer and producer Dayá.

Directed, scripted and edited by Keythe Tavares with animation and editing assistance by Magalhãez, the videocollage shows that changes the skies but the stories are the same. Years go by, seasons go by, but stories repeat themselves. Before and after are more similar than we imagine. We carry a load of these stories on us. We are beings made up of different pieces: animal, plant, water, earth and things that we don't even know where to come from. The truth is: we have traces of the past and the future in our bodies. We are the amalgamation of all love and hate stories, everything that ever existed and everything that will come to exist.

Director Biography

É bem do meio do cerrado do Brasil, nascida no Goiás e criada no Tocantins. Foi atendente, empacotadeira, cabeleireira, crente, estudante de jornalismo, assistente de padaria, secretária, vendedora de livros, cozinheira, garçonete e a poesia ali, atravessando tudo, objetivo e prumo. Hoje, trabalha e vive da escrita, de colagens manuais e de projetos audiovisuais.

Entre os trabalhos recentes estão as publicações o que altera o peso das coisas?, uma publicação digital; até o caroço, publicação com colagens e poemas desmembráveis pra passar de mão em mão e do peito da pele, um filme experimental com codireção de Rudolfo Auffinger a partir do poema o que faremos com ele de Francisco Mallmann. Em 2021 lança heranças, seu livro de estreia.

She is from the middle of Brasil’s Cerrado. She was born in Goiás and raised in Tocantins. She was an attendant, a packer, a hairdresser, a believer, a student of journalism, a bakery assistant, a secretary, a book seller, a cook, a waitress and the poetry was always there, permeating everything, objective and plumb. Today, she is an artist who works and lives on writing, handmade collage and audiovisual projects.

Her recent works include the publication "o que altera o peso das coisas?", a digital publication; "até o caroço", an independent publication with collages and detachable poems to pass from hand to hand; and "do peito da pele", an experimental film co-directed by Rudolfo Auffinger based on the poem “o que faremos com ele” by Francisco Mallmann. In 2021, she launches “heranças”, her debut book.
