Efthymios Stavropoulos (Eforez) is a composer, and electroacoustic / audiovisual /
multidisciplinary artist / creator, currently residing in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. In his work,
he combines composed instrumental parts, along with electronic elements (software,
modular synthesizers, effect pedals), soundscape ambiences and field recordings in an
endless pursuit for achieving a smooth and delicate organic electroacoustic blend between
sound design and composed music.
Through the years he completed a variety of bachelor and master studies including jazz
composition, audiovisual design, guitar performance, singing and forestry engineering.
Since 2007 he has been participating in a plethora of music and multidisciplinary
projects, with the award winning short film Zeze & Mercedes (talent Award in the Nederlands
FIlm Festival) and the VR experience Diary of a Shapeshifter (best autonomous project
during the immersive tech week in deDoelen Rotterdam) being part of them. Since 2013 he
has released 8 personal music albums with original compositions for a variety of line ups and
4 music albums with his avant-garde electronic duet Bzaka and the Owlgod featuring
different soloists.
