Echoes of the Unknown
In Echoes of the Unknown, we are immersed in the intricate depths of memory. With a non-linear narrative and surrealist touches, the film uses experimental music to create a sensory audio visual mosaic. Visually, it traces three stages of a woman’s life as she revisits defining moments, from childhood by a paradisiacal lagoon to a profound journey through time's mysteries.

Pedro Pinheiro (Pier Zapfen) is an Multi-disciplinary Artist and Noise Maker since 1974, whose work explores the intersections of ecology, trash, nature and the human experience. Originally from Porto, Portugal, and based in Brazil since 2017, Pinheiro’s creative journey has spanned diverse media, including videoart, performance art, sculpture and installation, experimental music, painting and drawing. His visual and auditory compositions often incorporate non-linear narratives and surrealist aesthetics, aiming to challenge traditional storytelling by weaving a sort of abstract yet emotionally resonant narratives.
This short movie is an invitation to embrace the unknown, to delve into the depths of our memories, and to celebrate the connections with nature that define us as human beings. I hope this film resonates with audiences, sparking introspection and fostering a sense of ecological experience.
