The 5th Annual SA Eco Film Festival returns to Cape Town and surrounds.
With engaging and thought provoking films, expert speakers and audience interaction the Festival seeks to explore environmental issues and themes. What changes are needed? How can our personal change affect the world for better (or worse!). In our first 4 years we have been proud to showcase challenging, intriguing and creative film content from SA and across the World highlighting issues that effect us all, whilst introducing participants, filmmakers and audience members alike to sustainable living choices and life style changes that are available, today. In our 5th year we hope to continue to increase the impact of our Festival.

Annual Audience Award - The Silver Tree Audience Award
Voted for by our audiences and named after Leucadendron argenteum, an endangered plant species which is endemic to a small area of the Cape Peninsula this beautiful and threatened plant is the inspiration for our Award.

Submissions are welcome for short and feature length documentaries.
Any environmental, ecological or socio-political content that highlights issues facing local, regional or international issues are welcomed. We do try to find films that expose problems whilst offering solutions where possible.
South African films are accepted free of submission fee – International films attract a small submission fee
Submission of a film does not guarantee automatic inclusion in the festival programme. We will contact you if your film is selected for inclusion in the festival programme.
