Doug

'Doug' is a 8 minute, mockumentary style short film surrounding the comical journey of one man(child) trying to find his best friend and beloved dog.

The story revolves around Thomas and his quest to finally be reunited with his childhood dog, Doug. Many years earlier a young Thomas was told that Doug had to unexpectedly leave him to join the mountain rescue service, since then the only contact Thomas has had with Doug is through a series of letters sent between him and a mountain rescue worker called Reginald J. Fairchild. On his journey to be reunited, Thomas is joined by a documentary crew who have heard about the story and want to be present to capture the story as it unfolds.

Director Biography - George Hepworth

George Hepworth is writer, director, cameraman and overall creative based in the United Kingdom.

A BA Hons. Film Production graduate from the University of Derby, George has learnt his trade from experience and hard graft. Working across a variety of filmmaking departments, George is not only creatively versatile, he also has the technical knowledge to back it up.

After several attempts at different jobs, from accounting to an electrician, and time spent travelling the world, George found his calling in the film industry and has begun to realise his potential as a filmmaker. Working on a range of projects, from short films to commercials, George has made it is aim to move on to feature films in the future.
