After spending over 20 years of my career as a composer for Film, TV, and Advertising... I decided to try and claw my from the bottom of the production chain to the top.
I've wanted to do something with a Mime for a while now. My father is a trained Mime, and used to perform on stage with his rock band in the 70's and 80's, so he was a big inspiration, and guidance for this project.
Ideally I wanted the tone of the voiceover story to be mostly vague, matched with very unambiguous, or even obvious imagery. I wanted the viewer to feel like they were inside the head of someone who had never talked to anyone - or at least for a very long time. I also find it kind of funny, and ironic that this character has so much to say in his own head, but words never spoken do nothing for the soul.
