Experiencing Interruptions?

Sweet Home

In a abandoned prison complex, without any basic conditions, a man survives like a wild animal.
When his security and tranquility are threatened, he resorts to violence to defend his home.
Later, confined to a small room without access to the outside world, he longs to return to his cell where he feels safe and free.

Director Statement

SWEET HOME is a film of disturbing silences, raw and crude moments yet authentic and human at the same time. In it I wanted to explore this twisted notion of freedom inside a restraining place, resulting of the deep psychotic behaviour of the main character.
The dichotomy between confinement (tormentous and molestuous) and a home (safe and secure). Between dream and reality we witness the action unfold created by this man’s conturbed mind. A place where no human being whishes to exist, the prison, is for him a safe shelter, complete and guaranteeed even if it’s only in his own imagination.
