16th DIVIPASSION International Short Film Festival
Celebrating 16 years in 2025, the DiViPassion International Short Film Festival, traditionally hosted in Athis-Mons, Paris, France, – Ballina, Co. Mayo, Ireland moves to a new location this Autumn to Sinaia (Roumanie)
This annual festival has welcomed filmmakers from a variety of countries, and has established links with Athis-Mons’s twin towns such as Ballina (Ireland), Rothenburg (Germany), and Sinaia (Romania).
This year, it will take place in Sinaia, 11 October 2025.
PURPOSES
Our festival aims to support self-produced cinema and contributes to the dissemination of local cultures and the democratization of video production tools. It also fosters friendly encounters between amateurs, filmmakers, and cinema enthusiasts.
FILMMAKERS:
The festival is open to all non-professional productions. Filmmakers can be legal entities or organizations, such as individuals, but the festival also seeks to support youth production. They could either be filmmakers or actors.
CRITERIA for evaluating works include:
the interest of the work, artistic treatment, technical aspects relating to image, framing, editing, and sound.
REGISTRATION : €10 per film submitted.
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSIONS: 15 September 2025
LENGTH OF FILM: 15 minutes (maximum)
ADMITTED CATEGORIES : fiction / animation / non-fiction

SELECTION:
A selection committee, composed of DiViPassion and the twinning comittee of Sinaia specifically for the festival ,will select films from all submissions. All pre-selected films, across all genres, compete for an award. Participants will be informed of the selection or non-selection of their work before the festival. A filmmaker may submit several films, but a maximum of two will be chosen by the selection committee for participation in the competition. Upon receipt of the films, an acknowledgment will be sent by DiViPassion to the filmmaker."

Numerous AWARDS are given at the end of the public presentation. Their total amount is around €1000.
Special awards are planned for:
Twinning cities (excluding purely tourist descriptions, "it happened in your city" can narrate an event, a story highlighting human relations in your city or country...
"Youth" films must have been directed (script and dialogues) by directors under 25 years old. Films shot within the framework of film schools or educational establishments or Youth Centers are accepted (even if technical supervision exceeds this age).
