I am someone who doesn’t sit still easily. You will not find me doing nothing.

I have my mother to thank for that. She has a successful career working for SADC and the African Union traveling throughout the world. Mozambique is the country we are both originally from. My father died when I was too young to remember him, so it was just my mother and I who set down temporary roots in other African countries. I speak English and Portuguese, which aided me in my travels through, Namibia, South Africa, Portugal, Ethiopia and, the US.

I wanted to tell the stories with which I filled up my travel notebooks, via animation – a love of mine, which entertained me frequently and also taught me English through repeated viewing of various shows on Cartoon Network. I realized as I was getting my Associates Degree in Animation and Visual Effects that the tedium of the format did not fit with the constitution borne from the transient life of my childhood. Whilst finishing my Associates I discovered my interest and developing passion for editing.

I pivoted and made good use of the skills I learned when I transferred to the School of Motion Pictures and Television to pursue my degree in film and digital editing. Through editing, I discovered I could join both my passion for live-action and animated film in this niche art form of filmmaking. My restless nature, combined with my strong work ethic and creativity, has resulted in my editing upwards of twenty projects, consisting of live-action shorts, documentaries, music videos, PSAs, spec commercials, and animated shorts. I look forward to expanding my portfolio and widening my net of collaborators.
