Devil's Night Film Festival is an immersive, multi-arts film experience celebrating horror, art house, fantasy, experimental, surrealist, and avant-garde cinema.
Taking place in Detroit, Michigan, the festival brings together filmmakers, musicians, visual artists, performers, and audiences within a living world where film expands beyond the screen. Through immersive performance, live music, ritual spectacle, character interventions, and carefully curated cinematic programming, Devil's Night transforms traditional festival-going into a shared artistic experience.
We seek bold, visionary works that embrace the strange, the uncanny, the dreamlike, and the transformative. From narrative horror and dark fantasy to experimental film, surrealist works, animation, hybrid forms, and boundary-defying cinema, we are drawn to stories that challenge convention and leave a lasting impression.
If your work exists somewhere between shadow and imagination, we invite you to submit.
Awards & Prizes
Devil's Night Film Festival does not present competitive awards.
We believe the strongest works are not always those that stand above others, but those that transform the world around them. Our festival is built as a curated convergence of film, performance, sound, and spectacle—where each selected work contributes to a larger unfolding narrative.
Rather than competition, we celebrate participation, presence, and artistic vision.
To be selected is to become part of the world.
