Depletion

Born in Yenimahalle, Ankara on 28 February 1991, Seçkin Göksoy lived in Ankara until the high school graduation. After graduated from Ankara Teacher Training High School, he began to study secondary school math education at Bogazici University in 2009. He began to live in İstanbul. Despite the fact that he was willing to study acting or theatre in high school years, he did not stand a chance to realize this. In the name of being in touch with art, Seçkin Göksoy took courses related with theatre and performance art, and cinema. Also, he participated in workshops and conversations organized by Bogazici University Mithat Alam Film Center in order to extend both his theoretical and practical knowledge about cinema. After discovering the strong relationship between photography and cinema, he became more interested in photography and began to shoot. In order to earn some pocket money, he worked as a math teacher in private education institution between 2011- 2013, then he continued to work as math tutor and still continues. In the final year of his undergraduate education, he began to put his short film project (Eksilmek – Depletion) into practice with Tuğçe Bidav who is co-scriptwriter of the project after he acquires necessary competence. After graduated from Boğaziçi University, he is currently studying at MA program in Philosophy in Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University.
