Gina Marie is an Atlanta, GA based filmmaker. Her interest in film began as a child in Oakland, CA; making Super 8mm shorts. She would later develop her talent in the trenches of Indie films and studio music video productions while studying International Management at Golden Gate University (San Francisco, CA). After relocating to Georgia in 2002, she focused on a career in project management and dedicated free time to networking in the local film community. In 2009, she joined the Atlanta Screenwriters Group (ASG) and is credited for initiating and creating ASG’s Facebook page to connect screenwriters globally. She served as the group’s FB Admin through 2018. In 2012 she began volunteering at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival (AJFF), and served on the Film Evaluation Committee 2015 - 2021. In 2016 Gina Marie completed Georgia Film Academy (GFA) Program I at Clayton State University Film and Digital Media Center where she was further inspired to write and direct which led her to enroll at Premier Actors Network followed by a pilgrimage to Sundance in 2017. Shortly thereafter she appeared in several studio TV/film productions throughout metro-Atlanta, GA: most notable were Stand-In on Champaign ILL (TV Series), Featured Background in Night School (Comedy Film), and Core Background on Cobra Kai (Netflix Series). In late-2017 she directed her first short film. Gina Marie is highly motivated to develop further as a Writer/Director, and welcomes opportunities to collaborate.
Filmmaking allows creatives to blueprint worlds by presenting universal themes with a believable experience. That's fascinating! It's a powerful and effective tool for knowledge sharing. I create to inspire.
Motto: Screenwriting is rewriting until it's written.
