Dene enjoys to write mostly Horror but does dabble in Drama and SciFi. Dene has been selected, placed and won over 35 screenwriting competitions including Scriptapalooza, Screencraft, American Gem Literary festival, Women in Horror film festival, New York International screenplay awards, Creative World awards and Stage 32 Search for New Blood competition.

She has just been chosen as an official judge for the NOLA New Orleans Horror film festival 2019. She has also judged for the Sydney Indie Film Festival 2018 and the Tokyo lift off film festival 2018.

She has recently been awarded a quarterfinalist in the Screencraft fellowship program and Semi finalist in the Screencraft Horror competition.
