Director Statement

Piotr Mateusz Wach, using her performative experience and oscillating around the subject of the presence in the theater of movement - in the performance, dance theater or physical acting, will take the participants on the laboratory journey of the body. Exercises based on compassion, duration, condensation of energy, basics of telepathy, creation of internal monologues or creation of movement from irrational space will be used as an introduction to the basics of performance. Participants studying the boundaries of their own corporality, defining the spaces between what is individual - private and collective - public, will work on the techniques of creating their own physical expression. The whole meeting, treated as a collective performative experience, will result in an open show of work-in-progress on the last day of the workshop.
The laboratory is addressed to all those interested in creating original stage statements - regardless of the stage of dance or acting - also for students and graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts and all other interested in the theater of the body and the broadly understood performance.
