Director Biography - Gaël Zaks

Gaël Zaks is a French-American Actor and Director.

After studying two years at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute he started his acting career In the U.S shooting commercials, doing some Theatre and playing his first small parts in Films, working in New York with Directors such as Woody Allen, Sal Anthony or Nancy Savoca.

After a few years working in New York, he moved to Paris and started playing lead and supporting roles in Television series with French, Canadian and American Directors such as John Bradshaw, Rod Holcomb, Jean-Pierre Prévost, Manuel Boursinhac or Alain Choquart.

As a Director, his first film ‘Une douce Jeunesse’ (Sweet One youth) a twenty minute film, won an international award in Germany and was chosen by the prestigious ‘Bibliothèque Nationale Française’ to represent some of the french short films of the year.
