Kim Richard Adler Mejdahl: DAYS OF AL

Alex has isolated himself from the world and stays at home with his little dog as sole companion. But as the young man starts to unravel his repressed childhood in an old pig farming, a malicious spirit enters his life and lurks him into a parallel univers.

Lasting more than one hour, DAYS OF AL is Mejdahl’s most comprehensive film work to date, accompanied by a soundtrack of experimental electronic music created under the artist’s musician alias Kim Kim. DAYS OF AL is a chaotic mashup of visual film techniques and animations – from timelapse and slow motion sequences to classic stop motion, special effects, and CGI.

Mejdahl has created a contemporary gothic farming horror-movie that weaves the setting of the Danish nation's extensive pork industry together with the story of a lonely soul. As Mejdahl juxtaposes these two narratives, DAYS OF AL becomes a dark tale about what the personal consequences become, when you go through a life of violence.
