Additionally, he has expanded his filmmaking skills over the years by taking online courses set up by foreign industry professionals.
He had a 3-year stint at Femi Adebayo's film school, where he won accolades for best student short film, best director, best original screenplay, best production design, and best cinematography with his unreleased short film directorial debut, AGRA: BACK TO THE FUTURE PAST.
Likewise, a stage play he co-wrote and directed as a student also earned him and his teammates several accolades, including best story.
Besides writing for African filmmakers in diaspora and working on several award-winning experimental short films, a few of Dámilólá’s notable mainstream works include KING OF THIEVES (still photographer), PICTURE PERFECT series (assistant cameraman), and OKOTO series (writer).
Dámilólá has also worked as a cinematographer, video editor, and colourist for brands like ACCESS BANK GROUP and IHS TOWERS, and he was a member of the official media production team for the documentation of the rehabilitation of the National Arts Theatre, Lagos.
