Synopsis
Manan Q'anchu Para (There is no Rain), is a short film that narrates the uncertainty of Nicolás Sayhua and his community due to the inclement drought that plagues the southern region of Peru (Cusco) and that threatens to destroy crops throughout the region . Nicolás and his neighbors try to explain the climatic phenomenon within the context of their knowledge and seek solutions.
This documentary was made entirely in the Yucay district, Urubamba province, Cusco region.

Director Biography - Ronald Augusto Romero Mogollón

Ronald Romero (46), was born in the city of Lima, Perú.
He currently resides in the city of Cusco with whom he has a commitment to culture and the environment.
He was always been related to the performing arts. He is an actor and I took directing and writing workshops for film scripts.
He currently has film and documentary projects to be carried out linked to social minorities.
He has participated in independent theater performances, short films and a feature film.

It is well known that climate change is a reality. We have references from scientists who have been warning us about this problem for decades.
It is important to know how this phenomenon affects families and entire population communities that do not fully understand what this climatic phenomenon is due to.
It is important to know the faces of these families and how they are affected in their lives.
