CHARLES SHARMAN-COX - editor/director/writer/actor
Charles began his career in TV and film by winning an Arts Council England competition to make ’Countdown' a 35mm film to celebrate the opening of The Centre, a multi million pound theatre and cinema complex in East Anglia.
In 2017 he produced and directed 'Caliban Remix’, winning a Bronze Laurel at LA Shorts, a Bronze Remi Award at the Houston WorldFest Film Awards and Best Edited Short Film at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema. In 2018 he starred in and directed Edgar Allan Poe’s 'The Tell Tale Heart’ winning a Silver Remi Award at the Houston WorldFest Awards, Best Horror at the Cannes Short Film Festival and the Best Actor Statuettes at Global Shorts in Los Angeles and at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema.
In 2019, he edited ‘Foreign’ a multi award winning short film for Starving Artists Films of Los Angeles and ‘In Two Minds’ for Harper Brothers Productions in the UK. In 2020 he produced and directed 'Los Angeles Fever Dream' winning a silver award for best LGBTQ film at the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles. In 2021 he completed his third screen play, 'In Absentia' which he filmed in late 2022 and has now been nominated and won awards at festivals around the world.
