Love Me - Martina Javor (prod. CreatiViews 2016) |OFFICIAL VIDEO|

Not all love songs have to be full of romantic clichés and there’s a unique young Slovak musician and songwriter’s new song which proves that. Martina Javor´s new music video Love Me illustrates the different possible meanings of the word “love”.

Martina shows us how tired she is of the lengths some women are able to go in order to manipulate. Although she loves being her true self the most, with her playful and naive lyricism combined with an urban glam video image, she has focused on criticising the manipulation tactics used by women in the business side of pop music.

Peter Javor, Martina´s brother, is the scriptwriter, director, cameraman, editor and, together with Juraj Ráček, the author of the animation.
“Love is not just a love of soul, it is also physical, and every woman plays her own games to be loved. And we can see signs of a captivating lady, an average young woman or a cute little girl in nearly every woman’s behaviour.” says Peter.

“The brother´s inspiration came from old arcade videogames. With simple and imperfect graphics they created for a more than perfect world which made us want to play the game over and over again, just as the little girl in the video does. However, eventually the rules of this children´s game would become the rules of our adult life, but usually with other consequences.”

For the Slovak audience, the very progressive sound of the song was released on the debut album White Lies Covered Eyes in April 2015. Martina´s nearly a year long work in the studio with producers Maros Hecko and Matus Siroky resulted in an album which recreates her music’s original and specific sound.

In the video you can see a child actress, Ella Salek. Dancers Otec Mirec, Branislav Basista MNP and Samuel Hosek created the choreography. The Urban House stage was decorated by Dominik Javor. Martina was dressed by stylist Robert Vrzala and the makeup artist was Lubica Krajnakova.

Martina played live at several festivals like the Pohoda, Grape, Waves, Radio_Head Awards and many other gigs. At the Radio_Head Awards 2015 she had a debut of the year nomination. Currently she is recording a new album with her band.
