David is a stand-up comic and filmmaker with a degree in film production from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
He has had an eclectic life, starting with being raised in the Amazon Jungle in Brazil in the late 70's by his "missionary" parents who moved him there when he was just 18 months old. His father also had a PhD in nuclear physics and his mother was a nanny to Ross Perot's lawyer in the 1990's. After his parents divorced he found himself in California where he went to USC and had a summer job as an actor with a recurring role on Saved By The Bell: The New Class.
As a filmmaker he's produced multiple web series and has had his non-fiction work seen by millions on CNN - the cable news giant.
With over 1.3 million views on CNN.com alone and millions more international viewers David was one of the first and most prolific CNN iReporters. During his time with the network he made short subject documentaries on a range of topics from supporting same sex marriage to the 2008 Presidential campaign.
In 2009 he and his wife produced the adventure series "and Boris" (www.andboris.com) starring J. Anthony McCarthy as a former KGB agent pulled out of retirement to help a rag tag team of U.S. Agents solve crimes in Los Angeles. They also produced, with David as host, the well received how-to series "I Went To Film School So You Don't Have To!" at www.iwent2filmschool.com
They have just completed their first season of a new comedy webseries called Wicked Widgets lampooning the IT industry and our new webcam culture.
David is also finishing up a new pilot for "I Went to Film School..." featuring animation and puppets.
"Never be afraid of puppets or gold fish."
