Director Biography - Gautier Piton, Clément Douillet

GAUTIER PITON
Working as a Project Manager for the non profit sector for years, Gautier Piton has always been passionate about music and cinema. In 2018, he launched a singer-songwriter project under the stage name "Gautier sans H". He released several EPs and an album, "Animal Social", for which he ensured himself the entire production (composition, lyrics, vocals, recording, mixing and distribution).
This gives him the opportunity to script and co-direct a large number of music videos with his partner Clément Douillet, a professional editor. The production of these music videos made Gautier want to go further by writing and directing fiction films. He starts writing short and medium-length screenplays in 2020.
In January 2021, Gautier Piton joined forces with Clément Douillet to make one short film per month as part of the Kino Challenges in Montreal. He then decides to write a ten-minute « in camera movie » inspired by the housing crisis in Quebec. Submitted to the Kabaret Kino 2021, the screenplay is selected and Gautier Piton and Clément Douillet direct their first professional film project, "L’Entente Cordiale".
