A Festival that aims to promote the territorial identities of the whole world and to enhance their cultures and typicality through the cinematographic narration of food and wine traditions.
In Italian language the word "Courtyard" is translated as "Corte" and its plural is "Corti" but the word "Corti" is also the plural of "Corto", that is, "Short". The word "Tavola" indicates the "dining table". Therefore "Corti in tavola" has the double meaning of "courtyards set up for eating" and of "short films to watch while at the table".
This is "Corti in Tavola", a film festival dedicated to food to be enjoyed while eating at the table.

In each edition we will indicate the "focus theme of the year".
The focus of the second edition are Olive tree and Olive oil, considered in all aspects and meanings.

At the same time, the Festival wants to promote and enhance the talents of national and international independent cinema to allow them a fruitful exchange of experiences, direct confrontation with professionals in the sector and the expansion of skills, as well as to increase the possibility of making themselves known. from a wider audience.

The competition is divided into the following sections:

1. FOCUS OF THE YEAR: OLIVE TREE and OLIVE OIL
The olive tree is one of the most important symbols of the Mediterranean basin, but not only. Its history and that of the oil produced from olives is intertwined with the history of humanity which has lasted for over 7000 years and, even today, oil continues to play a very important role in our daily lives, so much so that it is considered " Green Gold".
Competitive section open to short films (up to 30 ') intended for young audiences from all over the world, not produced before 2020, which address the topic of the section.
Works not in Italian language must be subtitled in Italian.

2. FOOD, CUISINES AND TERRITORIES
Food through the story of the territorial identities in which it is produced and transformed and the relationship of society with the production, research and processing of food products: peoples, traditions, memory, the culture of a territory.
Competitive section open to short films (up to 30 ') from all over the world, not produced before 2020, which address the topic of the section.
Works not in Italian language must be subtitled in Italian.

3. ITALIAN TASTE
And Pluribus Unus - Unity and plurality together, this is the magical mix of Italian "taste".
A sedimentation and a slow evolution of ancient knowledge and traditions have created the amazing richness and diversity that today characterizes the taste, the cuisine, the Italian food. The identity of a nation, its eight thousand municipalities, its language and its dialects, its histories, its products, its cuisine, its people.

4. "THE DICE TURNS" FOR CHILDREN

"Corti in Tavola" International Film Festival è il luogo nel quale raccontare il cibo e i suoi territori, le società e i popoli, le tradizioni e la memoria, la cultura…
Un Festival che si propone di promuovere le identità territoriali di tutto il mondo e di valorizzarne culture e tipicità attraverso la narrazione cinematografica delle tradizioni enogastronomiche.
In ogni edizione indicheremo anche il "tema focus dell'anno".

Il tema focus della II edizione è l'Olivo e l'Olio d'Oliva, considerata in tutti gli aspetti e le accezioni.

Al contempo, il Festival vuole promuovere e valorizzare i talenti del cinema indipendente nazionale e internazionale per consentire loro un proficuo scambio di esperienze, il diretto confronto con i professionisti del settore e l’ampliamento delle skills, nonché d’incrementare la possibilità di farsi conoscere da un più vasto pubblico.

Il concorso è articolato nelle seguenti sezioni:

1. FOCUS DELL'ANNO: L'OLIVO e l'OLIO D'OLIVA
La pianta dell’olivo è uno dei simboli più importanti del bacino del Mediterraneo, ma non solo. La sua storia e quella dell’olio che si produce dalle olive si intreccia con la storia dell'umanità che dura da oltre 7000 anni e, ancora oggi, l’olio continua ad avere un ruolo importantissimo nella nostra quotidianità, tanto da essere considerato "Oro verde".
Sezione competitiva aperta a cortometraggi (fino a 30′) destinati a un pubblico giovane provenienti da tutto il mondo, non prodotti prima del 2020, che affrontino il tema della sezione.
Le opere non in lingua italiana devono essere sottotitolate in italiano.

2. FOOD, CUISINES AND TERRITORIES
Il cibo attraverso il racconto delle identità territoriali in cui è prodotto e trasformato e il rapporto della società con la produzione, la ricerca e la trasformazione dei prodotti alimentari: i popoli, le tradizioni, la memoria, la cultura di un territorio.

3. GUSTO ITALIANO
E Pluribus Unus - Unità e pluralità insieme, questo è il mix magico del “gusto” italiano.
Una sedimentazione e una lenta evoluzione di antichi saperi e tradizioni hanno creato la mirabolante ricchezza e diversità che oggi caratterizza il gusto, la cucina, il cibo italiano. L’identità di una nazione, dei suoi ottomila comuni, della sua lingua e dei suoi dialetti, delle sue storie, dei suoi prodotti, della sua cucina, delle sue genti.

4. "IL DADO GIRA" PER RAGAZZI
Il cibo attraverso il racconto delle tradizioni, della memoria, della cultura di un territorio.
Sezione competitiva aperta a cortometraggi (fino a 30′) destinati a un pubblico giovane provenienti da tutto il mondo, non prodotti prima del 2020, che affrontino il tema della sezione.

Submission of an entry to Corti in Tavola International Film Festival implies recognition and acceptance of Rules and Regulations without reservation.

Once a film being made available by its right owner(s) is selected, it cannot be withdrawn from the event.

Any producer/author may enter more than one short film. Each entry must be submitted as a separate entry.

Non-Italian language works must have Italian subtitles at the time submitted.: film-makers submitting films with dialogue other than Italian must send a copy of the film with Italian subtitles and a dialogue list, if possible either in Italian and English.

Projects must have been completed after January 1, 2020

Film-makers of the selected films will be asked to send, as soon as possible, at least 3 color photos either as print, minimum size13x18 cm, or in digital format jpeg or tiff, 300 dpi, promotional images, trailer and promotional text to be integrated into event promotional material. The photos will be used in the catalogue and in the press for promotional purposes. Such use is deemed authorized free of charge. A high quality copy of selected films will be requested for the screening.

The screening copy must be sent to Corti in Tavola International Film Festival by its rights holder (at his charge) 30 days before event opens. Unless otherwise agreed, screening copies of selected films sent from non-European Union countries should be labelled “No commercial value. For cultural purposes only”
The DVD/Blu-ray screening copies and digital files of films screened at Corti in Tavola Film Festival will not be returned. Any copyright owners agree to leave the films in the archives of Corti in Tavola International Film Festival for the sole purpose of research, cataloguing, as well as with the goal of promoting them and recommending them to other festivals or events. The archives will be kept in a dedicated storage unit.
The films that are not selected will not be returned.

Associazione Anthipodi does not pay any screening fee for films selected by submission: by entering a film in Corti in Tavola, the copyright owner grants Associazione Anthipodi a gratis license to screen and exhibit the film for all purposes associated with all marketing & promotion activities, missions, and/or events of the Associazione Anthipodi organization.
The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations.
Any determined breach of copyright will mean your film cannot be accepted for the competition.

By submitting his/her film, each Entrant:
• Claims and warrants to be entitled to all rights to the Entry and any of its components;
• Ensures that the contents of the same are freely available and do not violate the laws, regulations or rights of third parties, in particular the regulations governing the
copyright and image rights;
• Ensures and declares that the work does not contain defamation of any kind;
• Ensures that all music licences (including, without limitation, all syn-chronization,
mechanical and master-use licences, as applicable) have been obtained and all
payments have been made that are required for the public performance of the music
incorporated in the film.
By submitting your film, the undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Associazione Anthipodi from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

JURIES and AWARDS
Submissions will be judged by the organization's experts who will decide which films will be officially selected. For each of the competitive sections a jury of experts and the general public will evaluate the films in the official selection and award prizes and special mentions, together with relevant citations. The awards, which could include a money prize in proportion to the event yearly budget, are as follows:

1. Corti in Tavola Award for the best film on FOOD, TERRITORIES AND SOCIETY
2. Anthipodi Award for the best ITALIAN TASTE Film

Special prizes and mentions will be decided at the juries’ discretion.
The judge’s decision is final.

In the event of a dispute concerning the interpretation or application of this Rules&Terms the Italian language shall prevail. In case of dispute, the competent court is the Tribunal of Lecce.
