The 1st annual Los Angeles Cinematography Film Festival is a long weekend of screenings, workshops and awards focused around the art and craft of cinematography.

Our jury is comprised of cinematographers, directors and producers working in Los Angeles and abroad. Jury awards are all cinematography focused. One cinematographer will be honored with the Golden Prism - an honorary award for career excellence in the field of cinematography (the Golden Prism is by invitation only / not submission based).

Our goal is to curate a program of stunning, progressive work by established and emerging cinematographers and directors which we will showcase for invited filmmakers, reps, and industry professionals as well as festival passes available to the general public. Check back in early 2024 for updates regarding our programming and events schedule.

The LA Cinematography Film Festival programs and honors films where art and craft of cinematography has a significant effect on the film and the story being told. The alchemical relationship between a cinematographer and director can be seen in every frame of the piece, and visual language is created and refined to serve the needs of the story. The immeasurable contribution of the cinematographer to these outstanding motion pictures will be evaluated and awarded by an international jury of cinematographers, directors and producers.
