CIFFI is the International Film Festival of India being organized by Delhi Metropolitan Education – DME (www.dme.ac.in) of India Deakin University (www.deakin.edu.au) of Australia. DME is a premiere educational institute located in Noida in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.
The first addition of CIFFI was held on December, 15-21, 2020 in DME in association with Deakin University, one of the biggest public universities of Australia located in Melbourne. This year CIFFI will be organised with the central theme revolving around paradigm shift in the cinema in view of the spread of the coronavirus since March 2020. Amid COVID-19, cinema viewers have shifted from traditional motion picture to OTT and online streaming platforms for cinema and entertainment. CIFFI will explore and deliberate on these changes through various screening sessions, workshops and master classes by eminent experts. CIFFI is open to college students and independent filmmakers from across the globe.

Selection/screening of flims

The selection of films will be conducted by the Nomination Jury comprising film experts, faculty members and student coordinators at least one month ahead of the festival. The selected films will be slated for screening during the festival.

Awards/Prizes to outstanding films

The films selected by the Nomination Jury will be shown to the Main Jury of established filmmakers at least 15 days ahead of the festival. As per their judgment, awards and prizes will be given to outstanding films.

Registration fees for submission of films
Registration [Regular]: October 31, 2020 - INR 1000/- OR 15 US dollars
Registration [Delayed]: November 15, 2020 - INR 1500/- OR 20 US dollars

1. All films shot on film or Video between 2017- 2020 can be submitted for the festival.
2. If language of the film is other than English, it must be dubbed or sub-titled in English.
3. Films may be submitted by student filmmakers in competitive category and by independent filmmakers in non-competitive category.
4. Selection of films will be done by the Nomination Jury whose decision will be final. However, CIFFI2020 Authorities reserve the right to reject a film that is likely to offend sentiments, feelings or sensibilities of any caste, community, religion and sector is likely to promote racism or ill will in the society.
5. A complete screening schedule of selected films will be notified ahead of the film festival.
6. Costs of related documents, photographs and publicity material from the country of origin to the Festival Office shall be borne by the applicant.
7. CIFFI 2020 has the right to use all photographs and publicity materials received along with the Entry and the same will not be returned to the entrants.
8. For promotional/publicity purposes, excerpts from any film entered in the festival may be shown on any Television network/Internet or related media during the festival period.
9. Entry Forms with incorrect / inadequate / illegible / ambiguous particulars will not be considered.
10. Prizes, trophies and certificates will be awarded to the director (s) or producer (s) of the film.
11. Anybody can submit one or more than one entry. There is no limit on submissions.
12. Films once selected and submitted for the final screening will not be allowed to be withdrawn under any circumstances, until the Festival is over.
13. Entry form along with necessary documents and photographs should preferable be submitted through the website ciffi.dme.ac.in or can be mailed on the official email id of CIFFI2020 (CIFFI2019@dme.ac.in).
