Canada's LONGEST RUNNING, LARGEST and MOST MAJESTIC COMEDY FILM FESTIVAL - The Canadian International Comedy Film Festival -- CICFF!
This past year (FEB 2020) was an awesome festival with great comedy filmmakers from Canada and around the world both submitting and attending. So too did a sweaty, beer swilling, frostbitten audience attend. The gig was packed and the people laughed and laughed...
AND THEN COVID19 happened. We could cry. We're holding back our anger and tears. Discussions are underway about whether the fest can even be in the same venue and whether we need to have multiple backup plans. Whatever happens, at the very least, we'll have an awards ceremony and some kind of screening in 2021. The show MUST go on.
So on we go into 2021...
Dedicated to the art of comedy on film, we aren't one of those pretentious films festivals that pre-selects the lineup, snubs low-budget, dismisses non-conventional or charges outrageous submission rates. Oh, and we actually watch YOUR submissions.
Our motto at CICFF is "Where the world comes to laugh!" because after the filmmaker yells "cut" and the Grand Marshall of the Festival yells "roll the films" we are all about celebrating the art of comedy.
Just "Make Us Laugh!"®™
So cheers, submit and show up (or join online) ready to laugh for the NINTH instalment of CICFF in February of 2021! (Tentatively in February...)
