Christian Zetterberg is a Swedish director and producer who creates content aimed at a young audience. He began his journey as a child actor on Swedish Television and later pursued film studies at the Swedish art school, Fridhems Folkhögsskola.
In 2017, Christian co-founded Gråklippan in collaboration with producer Liselotte Persson. A production company dedicated to make captivating children and youth films that often delve into themes of identity, sexuality, and societal norms. Among notable works is "Skoldiscot" (2018), which aired on SVT Barnkanalen (Children's TV) in 2020, gaining acclaim for its bold approach in addressing LGBTQIA+ issues for young viewers. It earned the BUFF Award for Best Swedish Children's Film at the Novemberfestival – the National Championship for young filmmakers.
The latest short film, "Shower Boys" (2021), premiered at several prominent youth-oriented film festivals worldwide and received the 2022 ECFA (European Children's Film Association) Award for Best European Short Film for Children. The film is available for streaming on platforms such as Canal+, Dekkoo, Kis Kis, and Amazon Prime Video.
Since 2021, Christian’s part of the Swedish talent initiative "Talent to Watch" focused on debut features. Within this framework, he's developing his first feature film, "More Than a Hug," a youth drama adapted from the acclaimed novel of the same name by author Mårten Melin. The shooting is scheduled for summer 2024.
