A first date brings young Jenny (Brittney Grabill) and Tim (Manny Jacinto) together for a slice of chocolate cake. Love reveals a potential path for them, as well as the inevitable rollercoaster of emotions. The question remains - will they take a chance on love?

Director Biography - Brittney Grabill

Brittney Grabill was born and raised in Edmonton, AB. She grew up acting, singing and songwriting and Chocolate Cake is her directing debut. She received $10,000 from Storyhive's Female Director Edition short film grant. After pitching the idea, the community voted on who would receive funding. Brittney filmed in Edmonton, as a way to show off the beauty of the city she's from.

Director Statement

I'm very proud of Chocolate Cake representing my directing debut. I enjoyed the entire process of pitching the story, to casting, to marketing and getting the community involved. I am proud of the strong female presence on set we had, as it was produced and directed by women in the industry.
