Chi Ogbue is a young producer with a passion for putting his own spin on nostalgia. Growing up, he viewed himself as an easy target due to his dark skinned complexion, African roots, rapid height growth and lack of athletic skill, so Chi flipped the script, and made the joke before anyone else could. Stories that emphasize laughing at the hard things in life, such as SpongeBob SquarePants, The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy and Phineas and Ferb are Chi’s passion. As an avid fan of family television, Chi has tried to figure out ways to make TV feel relatable and appealing to his generation, while not losing track of the emotional punch that makes those classic stories so compelling. Chi has had many unique life experiences, such as being a collegiate athlete (Basketball), attending prep school as an at risk kid from Massachusetts and now working in corporate America as a young creative executive – which he channels into his work. Everyday he’s thrown a new curve ball, he uses humor as his bat and experience as his coach in order to defy odds and hit that next ball out of the park.
