Carys Watford is an award-winning Writer/Director/Producer of comedy and drama live-action short films. She is passionate about making comedic, female-led films packed with personality and heart.

Carys' films have competed internationally at festivals including the Oscar-qualifying St. Louis Int'l Film Festival, the Oscar-qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival in LA, and the BAFTA-qualifying London Short Film Festival. She has just been offered a place on 2018's BAFT Crew Film & TV Programme.
Her short film, 'Theatreland', was shot in a beautiful theatre in the heart of London's West End. It had its World Premiere at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film & VR Festival in February 2017 - and went on to screen in competition at the Oscar-qualifying Athens Int'l Film + Video Festival (Ohio) & the BAFTA-qualifying Underwire Festival.
Carys' latest film 'Space Girls' premiered in Mississippi at Oxford Film Festival, was selected in the Top 10 'Best of Shorts' at the Oscar-qualifying Cinequest Film & VR Festival, & screened in competition at Athens Int'l Film + Video Festival (Ohio). At its UK Premiere at Sunderland Shorts Film Festival, 'Space Girls' won the Best Drama & Audience Favourite Awards. 'Space Girls' will screen in competition at the Oscar & BAFTA-qualifying Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival this August.
