Carlos Ormeño Palma (Peru, 1994) is a director, producer and screenwriter based in Lima, selected by La Fémis for the Université d’été 2021 and Talents Buenos Aires 2021. His passion as a filmmaker borns from family memory, identity and social justice.

Carlos has directed six short films including “The distance of Time” and “The Weight of Air”, winner of the Peruvian Fund for Shorts Production. He is currently developing his first autobiographical feature film entitled “The scent of Walls”, recently selected in CineQuaNonLab.

At the same time, Carlos teaches filmmaking to Peruvian young people at a local university and works as a journalist for an independent online newspaper named lamula.pe

In 2017, Carlos worked as a 1AD in the film “Song without a name”.
