Director Biography - Tom Ryan Jr.

Tom Ryan is an award-winning writer and director. His 2019 novel "Keep This to Yourself" was the recipient of the 2020 Arthur Ellis Award and the 2020 ITW Thriller Award, and was chosen by the Globe & Mail as one of the ‘Globe 100: Books that shaped 2019’. His follow-up novel "I Hope You’re Listening" won the 2021 Lambda Award for Best LGBTQ Mystery. "Jenny" is Tom's first film in over a decade. Tom and his family divide their time between Cape Breton and Halifax.
