Canlandıranlar International Animation Film Festival

1. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

- Any frame-by-frame created animation (produced for cinema, television, or other screening platforms) may apply to the festival.
- Only films completed after October 2023 will be accepted. Films that have previously applied to the Canlandiranlar Film Festival will not be considered.
- Films must be no longer than 30 minutes.
- All submissions must be made via FilmFreeway. Submissions made through other means will not be accepted.
- The final submission deadline is June 14, 2025.
- All applicants are deemed to have accepted the terms set forth in these regulations.

2. SUBMISSION AND SELECTION PROCESS

- Only fully completed submission forms will be considered.
- The selection process is conducted by the Festival’s Artistic Director in collaboration with the Canlandiranlar Association, the preselection jury and the Programme Planning department.
- The Official Selection of the festival will be announced on August 29, 2025, on canlandiranlar.com and the social media channels of the association and festival.
- Selected filmmakers will be notified via email and asked to provide the necessary screening materials.
- Selected films may be withdrawn from the program until July 31, 2025. After this date, no film can be withdrawn from the festival.
- The festival management reserves the right to merge national and international competitions or evaluate them separately according to the theme of the year.
- The pre-selection committee and juries are determined based on the number and content of the submitted films.

3. SUBTITLING

- The Canlandiranlar Association will provide Turkish and English subtitles for films in competition.
- Films must provide an original dialogue script with timecodes.

4. JURY AND AWARDS

- The festival jury consists of three international members appointed by the Canlandiranlar - Association management. No member of the association’s management can be part of the jury.
- The jury reserves the right to not award a prize, and only the following awards may be given:

International Competition
Best Film
Best Director
Best Script
Best First Film
Best Student Film
Best. Sound Design

National Competition
Best Turkish Film
Best Script
Best Sound Design

Audience Award (determined by audience voting, National & International)

- The jury reserves the right not to present any award.

5. COPYRIGHTS AND SCREENINGS

- Filmmakers are fully responsible for securing all necessary copyrights for the materials used in their films.
- The festival management reserves the right to merge or categorize submitted films based on the festival's theme
-Selected films may be screened during and after the festival in designated cities in Turkey. - The director will be notified in advance; however, no screening fee will be paid.
- The festival board has the right to screen competition films in different cities and on different dates until the next festival date, with prior notification to the filmmaker.

6. SUBMISSION FEES

Early Submission: 5 (USD)
Regular Submission: 7 (USD)
Late Submission: 10 (USD)

- Submission fees are non-refundable, regardless of eligibility or cancellation.

7. DATA PROTECTION

- Applicants accept that the information provided may be used in festival publications and related digital platforms.
- Participants may request corrections or deletions of their data under Turkey’s Personal - - Data Protection Law (Law No. 6698) by contacting the festival management.
- Materials from selected films (poster, trailer, etc.) may be used in the festival catalog, website, and social media accounts.
- By submitting a film, all participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
