Brutal Kawaii

Brutal Kawaii is a farcical adventure set in a universe heavily flavored of Lisa Frank, Heavy Metal, and Star Trek.
Created largely by a single artist (with sound assistance from his siblings) in a span of under six months, Brutal Kawaii is personal, snarky, and surreal fun!

Director Statement

Nearly non-toxic, like a chainsaw blade through a marshmallow field , Josh Evans has set out on a quest to provide entertainment safe-ish for the whole family, yet twisted enough to tweak the terrorbones of the hardest horror veteran.

He believes children are small adults and refuses to insult their intelligence; he would rather insult their parents.

The medium of film allows the artist to push the boundaries of storytelling and Josh refuses to tell stories the audience is already familiar with.
