Director Biography - Kostas Gur

Kostas is a scientist and an artist.
He was born in Didymoteicho, Evros, Thrace, Greece. After his studies in Computer Engineering (Bsc) and in Environmental Policies (Msc), Kostas discovered his great passion, aerial cinematography and photography. Over the past few years, Kostas has been focusing on aerial artistic creations with many wins and distinctions at international film festivals.
Kostas is also a "Skypixel Recomended Photographer" as he has been ranked among the world's best aerial creators from Skypixel.com, the biggest internet platform for sharing aerial artwork.
Kostas lives and creates in Athens, Greece.

Director Statement

I always wanted to make a drone short about sports and the chance was given to me when Vertical Wise, a pole fitness international website, asked me to make a drone short about pole fitness. When we went to see the shooting area, I noticed that at the same place motocross athletes were doing their practise. The idea of using both sports at the same time to produce this video, was born. I created a "love story" where two athletes meet by chance in the same practise field. A motocross athlete and a Pole Fitness athlete. After the sudden encounter, a competition begins between the two at the pole. It's a very beautiful and youthful story lined with an amazing music by Tzavys.
