Braden Swope is a film director and editor who grew up and lives in Southern California. When he was given a camera in the summer of 2006, a fascination with the world of cinema developed, paired with a love for outlandish and offbeat stories. He made ridiculous home movies with his brother, Evan, for years. After being accepted into the Orange County School of the Arts for Film & TV and befriending his moviemaking family, Braden set out to do this seemingly impossible task: make a feature film right out of high school.
With the experience of dozens of projects and filmmaking roles under his belt, Braden and his brother decided to write a feature-length screenplay. Once the script was complete after months of revisions, it lead to the eventual EPIC coming-together of Braden's film family in the summer of 2019. At the age of 19, he wrote, directed, and produced this film, called "Human Resources." It didn't stop there: Braden took it on himself to edit the entire film himself, and eventual digitally designed all of the Visual Effects personally. It was the greatest challenge he had ever faced in his entire life. And yet at the same time, it was the most creatively rewarding journey he had ever embarked on. Now, years and years of telling stories later, his first feature film is finally complete. But Braden Swope feels that his filmmaking journey has only just begun.
