Livia Chow is a filmmaker based in Singapore.
I believed that what would help my film stand out was thinking beyond the "linear narrative". Drawing my inspiration for media that I consume daily from TikTok and Instagram, I thought: "Why not a narrative loop?" Thus, 'bodyart' came to life.
My first ever film was something I'd decided would represent who I was, my beliefs, and the impact I want to make. I selected a primarily female crew, a single female protagonist, and poured my innovative and creative spirit into directing this. I hope that 'bodyart' can educate everyone on the issues that matter, and forge a better path for future generations of young girls and females to come.
