October 2022 Winner of the "Best Experimental Film" award at the Multi Dimension Independent Film Festival
Born on April 14, 2005 to a religious Modern-Orthodox-Machmir Jewish family, Zeke Thurm (credited for this film as Rabbi Zeekee) is a screenwriter, director, producer, video editor, author, and filmmaker whose multi-hyphenate career began when he was just a nine-year-old boy with access to a homegrown camcorder and a brain full of wonderful, awe-inspiring stories to bring to life.
Several years of trial, fail, trepidation and triumph later,
Zeke Thurm has finally made his dream come true by writing, directing, producing, editing, and starring in his debut short film, Blessed/Béni/בָּרוּך/ได้รับพร; the October 2022 winner of the "Best Experimental Film" award at MDIFF (the Multi Dimension Independent Film Festival).
Please wish him the warmest of luck and he'll grant your wish of seeing more movies from him that he is absolutely delighted to share!
It won't be long before principal photography on his next film starts...
"Thank you for watching my debut short film, Blessed/Béni/בָּרוּך/ได้รับพร. I can't make promises but I hope to make more movies of genres that vary far and wide from Blessed/Béni/בָּרוּך/ได้รับพร in the near future!"
