Birds and Dice

In order to solve the mystery surrounding the death of his girlfriend Lisa, Andy is willing to try everything. Ignoring the sceptic laughter of his buddy Will, he brings in the psychic Mike to have a closer look into the drowning. As things get heated during the seance, Andy and Will are rather confused by Mike’s visions. They see images that don’t make any sense... Or do they?

Director Biography - Philipp Andonie

Philipp Andonie is an award-winning independent filmmaker based in Bern, Switzerland. He graduated with honors in Film, Communications and Psychology at the University of Zurich and Fribourg. He made his first steps in directing in 2011 while filming the short Waschgang (2011, 45 min) which laid the foundation between him and his Producer and DOP of choice Manuel Imboden to start the production company Rise and Shine Films one year later. First in the writing room, then on the film set it self and finally in the editing room, as creative director Philipp makes sure that everybody works towards the same vision and the production wraps up with a compelling story well told. Beside working on commercial projects Philipp since was able to hone his skills as writer, director and editor in the narrative shorts such as the award winning horror short Nightshift (2015, 3min), VAND (2016, 72 sec), Birds and Dice (2017, 10 min) and his latest short award-winning short Wired (2017, 72 sec). When not working on film projects Philipp explores movement in his studies of the martial arts or observes human interaction while working as a bartender. This is how he makes sure not to run out of stories to tell or the stamina to tell them.
