BAFF Black Cinema Showcase is by far one of the most underrated festival events in all of New York (and LA for that matter!). The content in the festival is consistently new and portrays some of the most talented and upcoming voices in cinema. A night that is great for all audiences, the festival comprises of an eclectic mix of genres and tones. The festival director is incredibly communicative and helpful, from acceptance to screening and beyond. I highly recommend all filmmakers of all ages apply, and all audiences attend. It was an amazing night!!!

The Big Apple Film Festival came to me like a dream. Having my film, Stunt Mom, screened at the BAFF Women's Filmmaker Showcase was such an exciting experience because I was in company with these wonderfully talented women with phenomenal films. The quality of the work was incredible. The venue is beautiful and in an such an accessible location. I loved that I was able to do an interview in the week prior to help promote the event and overall the communication was stellar. I was given any and all necessary information quickly from the Festival Director Jonathan Lipp so I was never left with a worry or question! Thank you so much for the experience!
