Benjamin Gan (甘益光), an award-winning filmmaker and writer, was born in Taichung, Taiwan. After graduating from college, he worked as a writer, teacher, and chief editor. Benjamin made his directorial debut with "Leo in the City" (2010). He has since directed such films as "Secrets of the Lakes" (2015), "Your Clock" (2017), and "Mr. L" (2017). Benjamin is also a novelist. He adapted some of his short stories into feature films directed by himself.
