Dentures
A fish drowns, children feel nostalgic, and the memory of an elderly man is fading as he celebrates his 90th birthday.
Today is a day of celebration for Ajju: his father is turning 90. However, the old man no longer recognises his loved ones and embarks on a singleminded quest to find his lost dentures. In this playful and humorous film, the protagonist’s constant memory losses result in disorienting time slips, and an explosive chaos ensues!

I was inspired to make the film after the recent death of my grandfather, who suffered from dementia. I reflected on his gradual loss of memory, which caused him to lose recognition of his relatives and eventually his own face. Our memories are the only way for us to know who we are. Dentures is an observational film in which we spend time with an old man and changing colours of his memory.
