I was born in the Soviet Union, during the active phase of reformations under the power of Gorbachev. I didn’t manage to experience the life in the Soviet Union at full, only a slight echo of it reached me.
Sverdlovsk was my home town. I went to the kindergarten — rules. Then I went to school — rules. I entered the university — rules. Decided to come to my senses. I tried to meet the vanity of the lectors: sitting at their lectures and doing nothing. I realized that everything I was doing was stupid. Started my working career and noticed that not only at university people are sitting aimlessly. I’ve decided to come to my senses once again. I worked really hard, but I did not feel that it was actually needed by anybody. It was not for effect, it was rather for a show. I came to understanding that I wasted my talents and energy to no purpose and I felt really upset.
I got involved in cinematography since it was the only thing that interested me. Then I stopped idling but who knows what may come? I’ve made my first movie with my friend and called it «BAKHYT».
