Axel Bonnot is a director and art director with a versatile creative profile, working between the South of France and California. He brings a multidisciplinary approach to visual storytelling, blending aesthetic exploration with cutting-edge post-production techniques.
"Ideally, my work is a fusion of idealized beauty and technology," Axel says. "What drives me is the feeling I had as a kid—when my old camera became a portal to recreating my favorite films. If I feel that spark, if I’m 8 years old again, I know I’m on the right path. Creating should always be a playful adventure."
Axel’s vibrant energy is evident both on set and in the final frame. A passionate experimenter, he thrives on pushing creative boundaries to craft unexpected, emotionally resonant visuals.
He has also directed several short films, with selections and recognition from renowned festivals like the Tampere International Film Festival, and leading platforms such as Maxon (known for work on James Bond, Avengers, WandaVision, Everything Everywhere All at Once, and more).
