Austin Carrillo was raised in the border town of Deming, New Mexico. His first job after graduating high school was as a security guard on the set of *Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull* when production came to his hometown in 2007. Soon after, Austin embarked on a journey of creativity and exploration, moving frequently between Nevada, Arizona, and California while playing guitar in metal and punk bands and supporting himself with part-time jobs.
In 2015, a friend invited him to Temecula, California, to form a band, and it was during this time that Austin's passion for filmmaking began to take hold. Inspired by his love for storytelling, he started creating short films, channeling his unique perspective into every project. In 2022, he took his dedication to the next level by attending the Norris Performing Arts Theater, where he studied until the spring of 2024, sharpening his craft and deepening his commitment to the art of filmmaking.
