Director Biography - Isan

Ishan Sharma is a senior student at Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute in Calcutta, India. In 2016, his directorial debut,'The Day He Sleeps' won the Best short film award at the River to River Florence India Festival, Italy. Another short film that he made as part of SRFTI – 'The God of Panic Street', premiered at Filmfest Dresden (Germany) and was also in competition at various film festivals across the world including IFF Stuttgart, ISFVF Beijing and KIFF India. In 2020, his feature film script was selected as part of the eminent 'Produire Au Sud' workshop sponsored by the 3 Continents Festival of Nantes, France. ‘A Season of Mangoes’ is his graduate film.
