Arda Akçay was born in Ankara in 1999. He completed his primary and middle school education at Gazi University Foundation Private Schools. In 2014, he finished film production and directing courses at the Ankara Sinematek Association and began assisting director Yücel Ünlü. During the 2014 World Cup, he completed a voluntary internship in the editing department of TRT HD. After graduating from Çankaya High School (Anatolian) in 2017, he started the Radio, Television, and Cinema department at Başkent University with a full scholarship in the 30% English program. He graduated in 2021 and in the same year, he began the Master's program in Radio, Television, and Cinema with a thesis at AHBV University Graduate School of Education. Currently, he is an active student in the program. The director has won a total of 9 awards from national and international competitions with various films.
