Born and raised in Brest and then in a rural village in the surrounding area, after university studies in Performing Arts and a course at a film school in Rennes, Anthony C. Cajan arrived in Paris in 2003 and became a video assistant in a production company for advertising films. Then, chaining together various participations as an editor, additional cameraman or stage manager on different projects (clips, short and feature films, recordings, workshop films, etc.), he also directed his first short film.
From 2006 to 2019, he worked as head of the resource center at the Maison du Film (formerly Maison du film court), a French professional structure based in Paris which helps actors, technicians and filmmakers on their projects.
He is a stay-at-home filmmaker : in addition to his personal practice as an independent director-editor, he officiates as an editor, as an edit doctor (advising and accompanying films after shooting) or as an artistic support unit.
