"Anonymous Man"
My film centers upon a famous Greek artist named Yannis Gaitis and his most prominent artistic era regarding his creation of the "anonymous men" or "little people" or else in Greek "Τα Ανθρωπάκια" (tá anthropákia). The "anonymous men" are multiple male figures depicted in black and white and viewed solely from their side profile. Gaitis, through the homogeneity expressed in their clothing, faces, and expressions aims to corroborate a certain cultural homogeneity and lack of diversity in modern societies. The film tells the story of a creative protagonist clashing with the norm, that faces great inner tumult when introduced to such cultural uniformity by watching television. Finding an anonymous man's hat whilst on a walk, he considers it fate and conforms to the symbol and the anonymity of the "anonymous men". Disappointed, his old self looks over at him but the newly established anonymous man fails to identify his presence.
